Program Overview

Holy Cross Homeschool Academy is a cooperative educational program designed for Orthodox Christian homeschooling families in the Bay Area. Our goal is to be a supportive community that works together toward the shared goal of providing our children with instruction in core educational subjects in a positive, loving and joyful environment. In addition to academic instruction, our program offers enrichment classes in Orthodox Christian spirituality, liturgical arts as well as educational field-trips and spiritual retreats. For families who are new to homeschooling or just beginning to explore it, we strive to be a welcoming space and source of support and encouragement.

As a cooperative educational service, our core academic subject classes such as history and science are taught by parents who have either many years of homeschooling experience, a background in teaching and education and/or advanced degrees in their respective fields. We are continually striving to expand our program with new academic classes and unique enrichment opportunities.

The spiritual formation, experience and expression of our Orthodox Christian faith is of the highest importance to us. Our goal is to help families raise a generation of intentional Christians who know and love their faith, know and love themselves, know and love others and know and love Christ. Armed with the love of learning and spiritual discipline, they can thus strive to attain their Christian calling to be a light in the world and contribute to the Church, their family and our country, in a positive and God-pleasing way.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

In Christ,

Presbytera Tina Oshaana, Director
